Kicking it off in Detroit, we’re giving artists the means and resources to pursue their passion. All local artists are welcome to submit an acoustic performance to be eligible for the program. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity allows aspiring musicians to dedicate more time and energy to seeking a career as an artist.

Who can apply?
Artists who reside in the greater Detroit, MI metropolitan area. “Reside” means to live in that place for no fewer than nine months in the aggregate per calendar year.
I have an agent, manager and/or publicist. Can I still submit?
Yes. As long as you are not signed to a record label you can apply.
I’m signed to a record label. Can I still apply?
The TIDAL Unplugged program is meant to reach artists that do not have the means or resources to pursue their passion therefore we will not consider artist’s that are signed to a record label.
I’m under 18, can I still apply?
Parents or legal guardians who meet the same criteria may submit on behalf of an artist under 18. See participation terms.
How many times can I submit an online application?
You can only submit one application per person.
How long do I have to submit my application?
Submissions will be accepted March 1, 2019 through April 9th, 2019.
What kind of song(s) can I submit?
The music submitted must be an acoustic performance of an artist’s original work or cover song.
How will artists be selected?
As music is art, there is no exact science to determine when we will “feel” something, but we will know it when we hear that “it” factor. We listen for creativity, originality, catchiness and overall infectiousness of a song or the artist’s performance of a particular song.
When will I hear back regarding my submission?
Selected artists will receive notification once submissions have closed.
