Joseph Muzyamba (born April 3, 1992), better known by his stage name Finding Muzyamba. Although he was born in Livingstone, Zambia, at the age of four, he and his mother moved to Akershus, Norway. Growing up in Ås, Muzyamba graduated social studies & economy, but his career would somewhat take another path. While taking acting classes in Drammen, Muzyamba made simultaneously a musical relationship with producer Robert Holshagen known as CRONIKL. At that point, CRONIKL was studying music production together with PVCIFY and manager GxxMARIO. After a few sessions together, they just "clicked" and formed a group under the name of Generation XX. In 2014 they released a song "Clusters" that which no one other than Noisey/ Vice opt to premiere. They even reviewed Finding Muzyamba as "something of a Norwegian Kanye West." December 2015 they released "Nightmoves", a song that spread trough various playlists. Soon enough, Finding Muzyamba and the rest of the crew decided to keep the absolute control over their creative output and the means by which its promoted. They established a LLT company that represents their commercial interests, and turned the group Generation XX into an indie music collective. Although the collective is hugely inspired of Houston & Atlanta music scene, Finding Muzyamba and the rest of the collective are powering through to develop their own sound signature. Their technical capabilities can be heard in their harmonies, melodies, add-lips, song structures and overall delivery. Gxx sound, is set to place Finding Muzyamba eventually, and the rest of the collective on to an international map of the listeners. According to critics, Muzyamba’s genre-bending approach draws from a range of styles, fromsynth-pop and trip-hop to electronica and contemporary Hip Hop and R&B. Influences include James Brown, Curtis Mayfield, Lauryn Hill, Outkast, King Crimson and Jimi Hendrix among others. As of now Muzyamba is planning to debut his first project titled “Nocturnal XX” sometime later this year.
