Taburete is a Spanish pop/rock band led by Willy Bárcenas. Son of a prominent politician, Bárcenas formed the group in 2014 together with friends from similarly affluent families — a subject of some controversy, particularly after Bárcenas' father was involved in a corruption scandal. With its own platform based on alcohol and partying, Taburete paid no mind to its detractors and became very popular among teens and on social media. In 2015, the band independently released its debut, Tres Tequilas y un Mezcal. The follow-up, Dr. Charas, arrived in late 2016.
