Mura Masa aka Alex Crossan is an electronic musician and produver from the island of Guernsey (in the English Channel between England and France) compared to FlyingLotus, Hudsom Mohawke and James Blake. He started up as so many others, posting tracks and mixtapes online, and eventually got picked by national radio and leading to a label deal and more proper distribution. His 2015 debut EP Someday Somewhere (with guest vocalists like Nao and Denai Moore, included the notable tracks "Lovesick" and Firefly", and caused quite a buzz for Mura Masa, at the point relocated in Brighton. His most recent single is the dreamy love song "Love For That" (featuring Rising star Shura), described by Stereogum as "an excellent little club-pop track without ever jamming its beat down your throat". It sure points towards great things ahead and the upcoming album.
