Kari is an award-winning singer/songwriter/producer based in Leeds (UK), known from her BBC Radio One and Isle Of Wight presence as well as from being one of new animating forces of indie scene in Leeds and performing on various European festivals, including Open'er Festival or Vienna Waves.
Her two previous albums “Daddy Says I’m Special” (Nextpop, 2011) and “Wounds And Bruises” (Nextpop, 2013) distributed by Warner Music gained international recognition and respect of indie fans and artists like Elena Tonra of Daughter.
Kari's also widely recognized as one of the most fashionable female indie artists. Her fascination with fashion and visual arts has always been reflected in her media appearances, live shows and videos.
The new album "I Am Fine" (Nextpop, 2017) marks a new chapter in Kari's career, showing a different, effervescent side of her musical identity. It sounds fresh and powerful, with a 80's sparkle, modern punch and Kari's trademark charismatic and intimate vocal performance. "I Am Fine" delivers 11 new songs, mostly music written by Kari and lyrics by Ryan Carins. Kari worked on arrangements with two British electronic music producers Thomas Trueman and Mountain Range, as well as with her touring band: Tom Bradshaw (drums), Jon Headley (synths) and Huw Edwards (bass, backing vocals). The album was recorded in one of the best recording studios in Europe - Custom34 studio in Gdansk.
