South London-based MC Slim utilizes tales of his personal experience in a raw and relatable way, using grime and U.K. drill as a backdrop for his bars.
Slim, along with most his friends, began writing verses at a young age, although his talent made him a standout. He soon joined Lewisham collective the Hillz and went on to release a handful of videos with them. Unfortunately, Slim found himself on the wrong side of the law and served a two-year sentence. Upon his release, he decided that he wanted to make his mother proud, and focused all of his energy into music. This began paying off in 2018, when a string of singles, "Different," "Again and Again," and "Touring" shot him into the public eye. The following year he worked with producer 1st Born to release his debut mixtape, 2019's Still Working, which featured collaborations with Headie One and M Huncho. ~ Liam Martin
